How to Reset Samsung Phone to Factory Settings?

Using Samsung's Find My Mobile feature is an easy way to factory reset a Samsung without a password because you can complete the process using a browser. But there are two requirements for using this feature.

  • The Find My Device feature has been activated on your device.
  • You remember the Samsung account and its password. Later, you will use this account to reactivate your phone. If you don't remember that, try to reset your Samsung account password before starting with the following steps.

If you meet the above-listed requirements, you can follow these steps to perform a factory reset on your Samsung phone remotely.

Step 1. Open your Samsung account and sign in with your account information. If your account has two-step verification, you need to verify your identity by following the on-screen prompts.

Step 2. After logging in, your device will appear on the left pane. Click "Settings" > "Devices" > Erase data." Then, select "Erase data" from the drop-down box.

Step 3. When the "Erase phone data" window appears, click "Erase" to start the resetting process.

Step 4. Wait for the process to complete, and you can set up your device from scratch.
